LUDINGTON -- Searchers will be back out in Lake Michigan today looking for the four people who were on a small private plane that crashed over the weekend. Yesterday they used side scan radar to try and locate the plane. Undersheriff Tom Trenner says they interviewed the lone survivor, Pilot Jerry Freed. He said they all had life jackets on but he wasn’t able to tell them if anyone else made it out of the Cessna 206.
They did find a light, and Dr. Jim Hall’s medical bag, the one that contained the goodbye note, scribbled in the seconds before the plane hit the water.
